Charlotte Knappett

Charlotte is Senior Partner at Fisher Jones Greenwood (FJG), a role she took up in January 2026, and she continues to lead the firm’s Family team. As Senior Partner, she helps shape the firm’s continued growth as part of Lawfront.

Her whole career has been at FJG. She joined straight from university as an administrative assistant and then worked as a conveyancing assistant. After law school, she qualified through a training contract with the firm and went on to build more than two decades’ experience in family law.

The Legal 500 names Charlotte a Leading Individual for Family Law, and she is ranked by Chambers UK. The Family team she leads has held Tier 1 status in The Legal 500 for more than a decade. Her practice covers divorce and the finances that follow, children matters, domestic abuse and fertility law. She has also acted in international child abduction cases at the Royal Courts of Justice.

Charlotte is an experienced court advocate who also practises collaborative law. She has trained many members of FJG’s Family team and is committed to helping colleagues develop. She has served as President of the Mid Essex Law Society and as Treasurer of the Colchester Collaborative Lawyers POD.
